Artist's Comments

This piece was going to be "Quadraphobes beware!", until I saved it. For some reason, it wouldn't restore the colours after I realised I'd saved as JPEG and gone back.
Why can't college use something better than Microsoft Paint?

Kind of ruined my celebration. I kill you dead.

Why don't you use PhotoShop?

I found that out a long time ago after backing myself into a corner and ruining a number of pics before I realized what the problem is. Now I use gifs, psp (which is a Paint Sho Pro extension), or png and only save as a jpg if I am for absolutely certain that I am done with it. I have noticed that the colors tend to go flat too when you save in jpg for some reason, and tend to have better luck with gif, even if the number of colors are limited.
On a lighter note...your all fours are cool! :D

Someone probably already told you (or you already know and I misunderstood) but .jpg's are for "true color" images, like photos of real life or scans of drawings with gradients in them (pencils, watercolors, etc.). .gif's and .png's are for images with 256 colors or less, like vector images, cartoons, ink drawings, and screenshots. While a .jpg can hold more colors, it is really bad with straight lines and it tends to want to mush the colors together a bit; a .gif or .png likes sharp hard edges and will usually hold them even in places where there was not supposed to be one hehe. But I am not sure if that program your college uses even gives you the option of choosing, so that may all be moot and you might already know it.

BLAH BLAH ANYWAY

That is neat, and I keep waiting for some fantastic number when -I- look at -my- main page, but there never is!
