As it is as it is: We are born from and shall return to the Earth. Born from Earth, living from Earth, buried in Earth.
As animals and as men, we struggle, red in tooth and claw or black in ink and graphite, for a chance to live longer, and a chance to make a little more meat to last just a little longer.

A more caring mother there could not be.

Life is like this: you fight to eat to live to breed. And all this is so we can create, write stories, just by living.
The universe is a massive drama/sitcom/whatever, and God is the sole viewer.

For some reason, I can't help but admire Him for that.

i'm not much of an admirer of one who allows people to do certain things in his name. (for example murder people < christian crusades> for believing against him.)
I do agree with what you wrote about human and animal connection with the earth and how everyone seems to just want to live beyond reason, however, the methods are quetionable...

good opinion though

Death is, perhaps, elegant and graceful. Butchery of the meat by bullet, illness, or age is not... but the glide away from the meat itself... if it is anything like sleep, can only be relief.
